
Police have recovered the hanging body of a housemaid named Jannat (18) from a house on Kalabagan North Circular Road in the capital.
The body was recovered from house No. 56 on North Circular Road on Wednesday evening. Police later sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Morgue at midnight for autopsy.
She is the daughter of Kashem of Faridpur village in Hatia upazila of Noakhali. For 5 years, unmarried Jannat worked in the house of Mohiuddin Chowdhury and Badrunnesa Khan in flat No. 6 / B of house No. 56, North Circular Road.
Kalabagan Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Biplob Hossain said the body was found hanging from the bathroom door of the house on Wednesday evening. Later that night the body was sent to the morgue.
He said, “Initially, I came to know that in the afternoon, in a small room on the roof of the house, another doorman Khorshed saw Jannat, a housemaid, naked with the doorman of the house, Junaid.” When the owner of the house was informed about the incident through the doorman Khorshed, the owner called Junaid and interrogated him. It also reaches the ears of Paradise. Fearing for his dignity and shame, Jannat committed suicide by hanging himself after entering the bathroom. The matter is being investigated.
