With the leadership of Oftedal, who scored seven times until the break, the club from Kisalföld fell back to minus four, which could go to the break with a five-goal deficit.

After the turn, the game slowed down, in this period the Norwegians could not quickly create easy situations in a series, taking advantage of the opportunity, ETO, playing more decisive handball, melted the difference to three goals in the middle of the second half (26-29). Approaching the final five minutes, Győr scored even with a double man disadvantage and did not allow its rival to pass, so a fierce final game followed. In the last minute, the Hungarian team reduced its deficit to one goal with a man advantage, but the Vipers were also able to score, thus ensuring their passage to the finals. Győr – after 2021 – can compete for third place again.

Oftedal became the most successful player of the match with 11 hits, Ana Gros scored nine goals. From the Vipers, Jamina Roberts sold eight of Markéta Jerábkova’s seven attempts, who was chosen as the most valuable player of last year’s final four. Among the goalkeepers, Amandine Leynaud made six saves, Sandra Toft made four saves, on the other side, Katrine Lunde made 11 saves and Sofie Börjesson made one save.
