Russia is ready to defend
It was published on the portal of the news agency “RIA Novosti” last week article, that Poland confirmed the West’s preparations for a coup in Belarus. Others began to share the news portals at users of social networks.
The publication says that former Polish Deputy Minister of Defense General Waldemar Skrzypczak confirmed on Polsat television that Poland is preparing for an armed coup in Belarus: “We are preparing for an uprising in Belarus, because it will happen.”

“We must be ready to support the soldiers who will carry out the operation against A. Lukashenka,” W. Skrzypczak is quoted as saying.
The article also says that Poland will help armed formations that can resist the Belarusian authorities.
To these media reports reacted and A.Lukashenka himself and the Kremlin’s press representative Dmitry Peskov.
The president has already mentioned it earlier asserted, supposedly the West is preparing to invade Belarus and “destroy” it. He took these comments as confirmation and said he was prepared for a possible uprising in the country.

“Let it come. We are ready”, assured A.Lukashenka.
D. Peskov, in turn, Poland named an “enemy state”, accused Warsaw of Russophobia hysteria and direct interference in the internal affairs of the neighboring state.

He assured that Russia will defend its “partner, ally and brotherly nation from the threat. Moscow is said to have a duty to defend Belarus from “such an obvious threat”.
The opinion expressed is unofficial
May 23 W. Skrzypczak, retired commander of the ground forces, on the Polsat News program “Gosc Wydarzen” indeed spoke about events in the Russian city of Belgorod.
He said that these events are the first sign and expressed the hope that this will spread to other parts of the Russian territory and part of Belarus.
The reserve officer meant that he personally expects the partisans to advance further into both countries: “This shows that not all Russians agree with the policies of (Vladimir) Putin’s regime. The time has come when the Russian people must at least partially renounce their loyalty to Putin.”
W. Skrzypczak also gave a prediction of what will happen if Ukraine’s counterattack, which has been talked about a lot lately, is successful. In his opinion, the Belarusians fighting in the Ukrainian army will not lay down their arms, but will go to Belarus.
“I hope this will cause an uprising in Belarus, Lukashenko is afraid of that,” added the reserve general.
When asked what the response should be if such an internal war started in Belarus, he answered: “We should prepare for it now!” <…> I think now is the time to prepare for it. It will happen.”
W. Skrzypczak did not claim that Poland and the West were preparing an armed coup in Belarus, nor did he urge it to initiate it. The journalist interlocutor simply shared his predictions that, in his opinion, an uprising will begin in Belarus, for which Poland must prepare.

The presenter did not explain specifically what he meant when he said that it was necessary to prepare for an uprising. He only mentioned the reasons why Poland should be ready.
“You must be ready to support those units that will carry out the operation against A. Lukashenka. We have reasons to help them, just like the Ukrainians,” said the reserve general.
In response to a question about what effect such an uprising in Belarus could have on Poland, he hinted at the flight of Belarusians to Poland: “If there is an uprising in Belarus, and we have to prepare for it, people will flow from Belarus to northern Poland.”
W. Skrzypczak reminded of the emergency situation on the Polish-Belarusian border in the summer and autumn of 2021. After the West tightened sanctions on Belarus, A. Lukashenko announced in May of that year that he would no longer prevent migrants from continuing to travel to the European Union. As a result, thousands of people tried to cross the border from Belarus.
Spokesman of the Polish Ministry of Defense emphasized, that the thoughts expressed by W. Skrzypczak were only the “private opinion of the retired general”. He also stated that the general is not an adviser to the Ministry of Defense, does not hold any position in this ministry.
