The Ministry of Transformation and the Public Service has announced that the 200 agents of Maisons France Services will experiment with the use of ChatGPTBloom et LlaMA.

This experiment will allow agents to quickly provide clear and detailed answers to user questions thanks to artificial intelligence.

The texts generated will be proofread and corrected by the agents before being sent. The ministry assured that this will not replace the agents, as they will still have to verify and transmit the answers. This initiative is part of the digital transformation of the State and the modernization of public action.

Confidential and personal data

The French government will therefore launch a six-month test phase from September to respond more quickly and efficiently to users public services through the use of artificial intelligence. The 200 agents of Maisons France Services will test the use of ChatGPT, Bloom and LLaMA.

For reasons of security, agents will not be allowed to enter personal or confidential data and will have to content themselves with general questions.

A report will be drawn up in February 2024, at the end of the six-month test. This initiative is part of the digital transformation of the State and the modernization of public action.

The European Parliament has expressed the wish to better control ChatGPT and MEPs want that in case of use of this system, human control over the machine is always provided.
