Following the unveiling of the interior and the technological specifications, the Japanese firm announced the mechanical sets with which its new generation is equipped. Qashqai.

The new SUV of Nissan is scheduled to launch in European markets in the spring. There are no diesel engines in the range of engines, except the 1,300 hp petrol, which is offered in a mild hybrid version and the brand’s new hybrid solution called e-Power.

THE mild-hybrid version with the mild 12Volt hybrid system will be available in two power variants with 140 and 160 hp. The torque is at 240 and 260 Nm respectively and the drive is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.

The most powerful version is combined with the new automatic transmission Xtronic CVT. This one has a slightly increased torque, while there is also the option of four-wheel drive.

The e-Power, on the other hand, it carries a gasoline engine 1.5 liters with 157 hp, a 140 kW electric motor and a high power battery. Thanks to its innovative operation, it provides linear acceleration across the entire speed range and excellent performance, without requiring the battery to be charged from an external supply.

The Qashqai e-Power will be launched in 2022.The innovation of the system lies in the fact that for the supply of the battery and consequently of the power supply, only the gasoline engine is used. Power to the wheels is transmitted by the electric motor, which implies impressive accelerations.

The Qashqai e-Power delivers a combined 190 hp and 330 Nm of torque, with the driver having at its disposal three operating modes (Standard, Sport and Eco), as well as the e-Pedal, we saw in Leaf.

It is worth noting that all Qashqai mechanical assemblies meet the strictest European Union emissions standards (Euro 6d Full), with a particulate filter and electronically controlled waste gate.

Its e-Power version Nissan Qashqai will be available in 2022.

More potential

Faster, cheaper and more enjoyable to drive

In terms of aesthetics, the best seller Japanese model retains the basic design philosophy, but has a more aerodynamic silhouette, aggressive lights with very thin headlights from below, larger wheels and cleaner lines.

The name Qashqai is also written on the feather, giving an extra dose of elegance. The dimensions remain the same, however, thanks to the use of advanced materials and the platform CMF-C, the weight has been reduced by 60 kg and the stiffness has been increased by 41%.
