The dollar exchange rate in Ukraine until May 21 – what will the dollar be

The dollar exchange rate in Ukraine will fluctuate between 37.4 and 37.9 UAH/dollar until the end of the current week (until May 21).

Such a forecast was made by the director of the treasury operations department of Yunex Bank, Hanna Zolotko, noting that the cash rate will slowly move towards the official rate in the coming days, but Ukrainians will not feel the changes, reports 24 channel.

“This course of events indicates a high degree of market balance. And the extended limit on the sale of cash currency to the public, which the NBU introduced in mid-April, remains a strong stabilizing factor in the market,” the expert explained.

The dollar exchange rate in Ukraine – how much was the dollar worth on May 16

We will remind you that on May 16, the cash rate of the hryvnia to the dollar in Kyiv bank exchange offices remained at the level of the previous day – 37.80 hryvnias/dollar. The hryvnia exchange rate against the euro strengthened by 10 kopecks and amounted to UAH 41.30/euro. American currency could be sold on average at the rate of UAH 37.35 per dollar, euros at UAH 40.65 per euro.

And the exchange rate of the cash dollar in “PrivatBank” fell by 4 kopecks – to UAH 37.53 per dollar. The dollar exchange rate for card payments in the banking institution was UAH 37.45, the euro – UAH 41.32. The euro exchange rate fell by 20 kopecks to UAH 41.10/euro. It was possible to sell American currency in the bank at the exchange rate of UAH 37.03/dollar, euro – UAH 40.10/euro.
