The Digital Transformation Bible is ratified

The Ministry of Digital Governance publishes the final version of the Digital Transformation Bible. After the completion of the consultation and with a decision of the Minister of State and Digital Government Kyriakos Pierrakakis, the Digital Transformation Book is published in its final text, having incorporated comments from institutions and individuals. Many of the projects of the Digital Transformation Bible are part of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan “Greece 2.0”, which was approved by the European Commission, as announced by Athens President Ursula von der Leyen.

The Digital Transformation Book 2020-2025 is a summary of the necessary interventions in the technological infrastructure of the state, in the digital service of the citizen and the entrepreneur, in the modernization of the public administration, in the education and training of the population in digital skills, and in the way Our country utilizes digital technology in all sectors of the economy.

The General Secretariat for Digital Governance and Process Simplification is responsible for drafting, monitoring and updating the Digital Transformation Book. Its main role is to describe the vision, philosophy and goals of the national strategy for the digital transformation of the country, but also an effective model of governance and implementation that will support it.

Furthermore, the updated version of the Digital Transformation Book describes more than 400 specific projects, including the digital interventions of the approved national recovery plan to be funded by the European Recovery Fund. These projects extend to all sub-portfolios of government policy with the aim of ensuring secure, fast and reliable internet access for all, better digital services for citizens, facilitating the conversion of every Greek company into a digital company, supporting and strengthening digital innovation but also the integration of modern technologies in all sectors of the economy.

The European resources secured by our country from the Digital Transition Recovery Fund, but also the new NSRF, together with the low lending rates and the plethora of other means of financing projects such as those described in the Digital Transformation Book, guarantee that in In the near future, it will be possible to finance actions and projects that in the past were impossible to implement – and at the same time.

At the same time, the Digital Transformation Book reflects the functional methodology by which digital projects will be designed, implemented and maintained in the future, as well as the information systems architecture that guarantees the functionality of these projects. The Digital Transformation Bible has a five-year horizon and will be updated each year, depending on specific circumstances and technological developments. The annual update of the Bible is an integral part of the Consolidated Government Policy Program of Law 4622/2019 (A` 133) and is binding on all public sector bodies to which it concerns.
