The deputies were allowed to dismiss the head of the boarding house from January 14, 2021. In addition, the municipality will pay him compensation for unused vacation.

Valentin Plonis, who had been in charge of the Daugavpils boarding house for many years, submitted to the municipality an application for resignation on December 14 after it became known about 70 guests of the institution he headed with coronavirus.
