On Thursday, the entire data network infrastructure went down unexpectedly at the Faculty Hospital with Polyclinic (FNsP) in Žilina. The outage caused difficulties in basic areas.

The hospital therefore invited patients on the social network to consider visiting it.

She pointed out that it was not possible to provide a CT or RDG examination, and the transfer of information between the laboratory and hospital systems also failed.

“We ask patients to consider visiting the emergency room or emergency room if their medical condition is not acute. If necessary, patients will be diverted to another medical facility,” the hospital informed.

According to the hospital, births are an acute condition and remain fully secured in the hospital.

“We immediately took action and implemented all the necessary steps to find the source of the problem and revive the structure. But above all, they ensured the functioning of the hospital within the provision of acute health care. Our colleagues are doing their best, they are preparing the possible documentation in writing by this moment,” the hospital said.

“We especially ask the participants of the Žilina Old Town festivities, which are currently taking place, to be responsible and not overdo it. Unfortunately, we don’t know how long the situation will last,” the hospital closed.
