The construction of the National Center “Decoration of the World” is planned

Secretariat for Urbanism and Construction Affairs of the City of Belgrade announced a public presentation urban project Center for Early Childhood Development and Inclusion in New Belgrade.

It is a modern National Center “Decoration of the World” for children with developmental delays, which will be located on Bežanijska kosa.

The cornerstone of this building, worth between 20m and 22m euros, should be laid by the end of the year, with completion expected in the summer of 2023.

He is the investor of the project Public Investment Management Office, and the designer is a company Design Architecture from Belgrade.

The center will cover an area of ​​almost 21,000 m2, and will be located in the block between Pedja Milosavljevića and Dr Hugo Klein streets, next to Ismeta Mujezinovića Street.

According to the project, the two-storey complex will have an inner courtyard and will consist of several units, among which are therapeutic, diagnostic, educational and scientific-research units, and numerous accompanying facilities are planned.

In the entrance hall, there will be a waiting room designed as a playroom, while the diagnostic unit will include offices for 11 specialist doctors’ offices such as pediatricians, physiatrists, psychiatrists, ENT neurologists and ophthalmologists, as well as a deaf room, EEG room, vision screening, and developmental arena. ..

Within the therapeutic zone, there are rooms for physiotherapy, a light sensory room, rooms for counseling parents, a music room and a swimming pool.

The complex will also have a section for equipment and assistive technology, with a library, space for making aids with 3d printers.

The scientific-research unit will imply open space, ie the hub concept and meeting spaces for parents’ associations.

Outside the main building there will be 3 bungalows for families, each with 2 apartments, then, a playground with equipment, sports fields, a garden, a mini zoo and a manege.

It is noted that the design of the project was done according to the principles of “universal design” or “design for all”, taking into account the dignity of people with developmental difficulties.

The project envisages a reduction in the consumption of all types of energy, so geoprobes and solar collectors and panels will be used for that purpose.
