The construction of the most modern sports facility in Novi Sad will start in the fall

The Novi Sad athletics hall of 25,000 square meters, worth 4.5 billion dinars, will begin to be built in the fall. The complex will contain athletic halls, a stadium, auxiliary courts, a warm-up area, children’s tracks and playgrounds, a parking lot, as well as courts for other sports such as tennis and five-a-side football. The facility will be located between Draška Redjepa Street and the future extension of Bate Brkića Street.

4.5 billion dinars will be set aside for the construction of the hall and the stadium, while 189.6 million dinars will be set aside for the beginning of the construction of the first phase, which is the largest single investment in the city.

The construction of the stands at the stadium and the tracks will begin first, and the authorities announce that it will be completed in the summer of 2022.

– The construction of a stadium with open fields and eight tracks is planned as the first phase of the realization of this project, covering 31,800 square meters. The second phase involves the construction of an athletics hall, which is located behind the stadium to occupy an area of ​​over 25,000 square meters – she told NS Live Adrijana Mesarović, member of the city council for budget, finances and investments.
