Suara.com – The Constitutional Court (MK) rejected 30 requests for disputes over the results of the 2020 Concurrent Regional Head Election. This was decided at the hearing of the pronouncement of the decision at the Constitutional Court Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (16/2/2021).
These cases were not accepted because the applicant did not have a legal position and did not meet the threshold for difference in vote acquisition stipulated in Law Number 10 of 2016 concerning Pilkada.
MK argues that the propositions and evidence of the applicants are not sufficient to give confidence to the jury to deviate from the provisions of the threshold question and proceed to the proof.
Matters that are not accepted because the applicant does not have a legal position are disputes resulting from the Central Lampung, Karo elections (2 cases), Sungai Penuh, Mandailing Natal, Pegunungan Bintang, and Banjar (2 cases).
Furthermore, the applications that were not received were disputed by Banggai, Pulau Taliabu, Sorong Selatan (2 items), Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan, Tolitoli, Balikpapan, Surabaya, Kutai Timur, Teluk Bintuni, Poso, and Riau Islands.
Then the dispute over the results of the West Sumatra Pilkada (2 cases), Fifty Cities, Pesisir Selatan, Rembang, Kaur, Bengkulu, East Kotawaringin, Central Kalimantan, and Muna.
“Thus, the pronunciation of the verdict has been completed, then the Constitutional Court will immediately deliver the official copy of the verdict that was pronounced earlier to the parties after this session is closed,” said Constitutional Court Chief Anwar Usman.
Previously on Monday (15/2), the Constitutional Court decided as many as 33 applications for disputing the results of the 2020 Concurrent Regional Head Election not to proceed to the verification stage.
Intermediate decisions are scheduled for February 15-17, 2021, while cases that proceed to the next trial will be examined on February 19-March 18, 2021 and decided on March 19-24, 2021. (Antara)
