The CN Martorell recovers the Massana Trophy two years after the last edition

76 Massana Trophy

The Club Natació Martorell has started this afternoon the 76th edition of the Trofeu Massana and is recovering the longest-running competition of the club, which last year was not held due to the pandemic. Distributed on the four Fridays of November, the club has once again invited all the club’s athletes to take part, both in the water polo and swimming sections.

The Trofeu Massana is one of the few events where all the swimmers of the club, from the aquatic school and sports swimming to the absolute and master category, can take part together, sharing tests and swimming in them. About 120 swimmers are expected to take part this year and will follow the same format that was revived four seasons ago, with the four Fridays in November occupied with the trophy. This format is very similar to the original and spans the tests for four weeks.

The entity chaired by Eva Rodríguez is once again celebrating the Massana Trophy and aims to be eight decades old with an appointment that has already been consolidated as one of the fixtures in the organisation’s calendar. According to the president, “we can finally make our trophy and it will be very similar to how we have been doing it in recent years.”

The 76th edition of the Trofeu Massana will end with the awards ceremony for the best swimmers of the event, on 17 December. Eva Rodríguez confesses that “we are very excited to be able to enjoy this party” and encourages the participation of swimmers.
