The zero-emission model is equipped with an engine capable of developing 455 horsepower and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. Thus, the i7 eDrive50 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 205 km/h.
Also on this occasion, the officials of the German manufacturer also announce several new functions for certain models in its range. For example, the i7 and iX models will receive the Plug&Charge function, a function that makes it easier for drivers when they reach a charging station. Specifically, when the car is connected to a station, charging will start automatically, without the need for anything else to be done.

Furthermore, starting this summer, the two models will also benefit from the Max Range function. By activating this function, the car’s range will automatically increase by about 25 percent. At the same time, however, the power will be limited, which will make the top speed only 90 km/h. Also, with the activation of this function, certain comfort functions will also be deactivated.
Leaving aside the novelties we talked about in the previous lines, the German manufacturer has prepared several surprises for other models in the range. For example, the BMW X5 and X6 will receive a new diesel version this summer, with a 3.0-liter engine and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.
