In recent days, the management of the city of Detva has been in contact with residents affected by bear encounters and spends almost every evening in the field together with the SOUTH Brown Bear Response Team. The mayor of Detva, Branislav Baran, called attention to maximum vigilance and caution, as bears have appeared in several places in the city.
