Since April EA is working on a standalone mobile version of its popular Battlefield games which it plans to issue during 2022. This week, the publisher shared new details about the upcoming title.
Battlefield Mobile does not support console and computer versions of the game
EA plans to begin beta testing of Battlefield Mobile this fall with a series of smaller tests involving players in Indonesia and the Philippines that own Android devices. The company stated that with the continuation of testing, it will increase the scope of these tests, and add new regions. The initial beta test will contain only one folder called Grand Bazaar and Conquest game mode.
The company promised to share more details on other maps and options before the release date of Battlefield Mobile in 2022. Meanwhile, EA has confirmed that the game will be a free title that will include only cosmetic supplements that can be earned through optional seasonal combat passes. Battlefield Mobile will not support crossover between any Battlefield version for console or computer because the game is made exclusively for mobile devices.
