In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and other relevant departments, is ready to assist in regulating the market and creating industry standards, the press service of the non-profit industry association Union of Plant-Based Products Producers notes.
Already today, according to Manturov and representatives of the Union, an additional package of measures to support the innovation cluster is being formed. Work on the preparation of regulations is planned to be completed by the end of October.
According to experts of the market of plant products, by 2030 its capacity may reach 200 billion dollars, and Russia may account for up to 10-15% of world production.
At the same time, Manturov separately noted that in the direction of using vegetable protein instead of animal, Russian manufacturers are keeping pace with global trends.
“Today, very active work is underway to develop and approve state standards for plant alternatives. We hope that in the near future, work will begin to restore order in other segments of the legal field, and manufacturers will receive state support,” said Artyom Ponomarev, General Director of the Union of Plant-Based Products Producers.
