The minister emphasized that the agro-industrial complex of the Pskov region managed to maintain good performance. He especially noted the increase in the production of agricultural products in the region.

Thus, the agricultural production index of the Pskov region last year amounted to 108.6%, in the first half of 2021 – 107%, which exceeds the national average. An increase in the production of poultry and livestock is noted in the region, and the region is also one of the three leaders in pork production in the Northwestern Federal District.

Recall that in 2020 the Pskov region began to supply grain to African countries. The reason for this success is that the region produced a large volume of top quality wheat that year.
