The new campus will be open to the city, green, accessible and energy independent. Three buildings will be used for classrooms and five for startups, right next to the Politecnico’s classrooms and laboratories. An underground conference room will be created, two university residences and a historic industrial building will be redeveloped which will become a service to the guests of the Campus. A 24-hectare forest will also be preserved and made public.
The project will also involve the connection of the two stations of Bovisa and Villapizzone, which will also be renewed and connected with the entire campus. The goal is to create a new scientific center for Milan where a new way of interpreting university life will be created. At the end of 2023 the construction works of the intervention will begin and it will be completed in 2026.
