Tesla, up to 12 Gigafactory for a production of 20 million units per year

Tesla’s future goals are extremely ambitious. As highlighted by a recent report, in fact, Elon Musk anticipated during a meeting with the company’s shareholders how Tesla’s objectives include the construction of a greater number of Gigafactories, necessary to support the necessary increase in production. With a series of targeted investments, Tesla is expected to come to realize “10-12 Gigafactory” on a global scale, enriching its infrastructure which recently saw the opening of two factories, in Berlin, the first in Europe, and in Texas.

Thanks to new Gigafactories, Tesla should get closer to its target of growth in production volumes. As already anticipated by Musk himself, it is conceivable that the company will be able to reach one share of 20 million units produced per year by 2030. If achieved, it would be a huge achievement. Currently, in fact, Tesla can count on a production capacity of 1.5-2 million units per year. To reach the target of 20 million units it is therefore necessary to significantly increase the production structure within a few years. Meanwhile, Tesla is expected to record record sales in 2022.

One of the next projects, regarding Tesla’s Gigafactory infrastructure, could be made in Canada. Subsequently, the company will have to identify further developer projects quickly to make the achievement of the set targets sustainable. The next few years, therefore, will be very intense for Tesla. In addition to the new models arriving, such as the hypothetical entry level Tesla Model 2, there will be several elements for the company to evaluate in order to build its future. We will see what Tesla’s plans will be and how the American company will achieve them, following up on Musk’s promises regarding the growth possibilities of his company.
