Unprecedented scenes unfolded at noon on Wednesday outside a high school in Evosmos, Thessaloniki. One mother had a heated argument with the high school principal because she did not allow her child to enter the school premises, as he did not have with him the required certificate of negative self-test result.
It is reminded that self-tests twice a week are mandatory for students and teachers, and as announced by the Ministry of Education, students who do not have with them the certificate for the negative test, will not be admitted to school.
According to information from thestival.gr, the student’s mother, Sofia Romeou, filed a lawsuit against the school principal. By oral order of the prosecutor, the procedure of the highway was not followed.
In fact, outside the school, a group of citizens gathered to support a mother. The members of the group call themselves “guardians of the constitution”. When they saw a police patrol arriving outside the school, they surrounded it and asked its crew to arrest the principal.
“I do not accept either the test covid or any responsible statement. When we make responsible statements we become co-responsible for agreeing on whatever measures the government wants to take. We want our children to attend their classes without any medical procedure and without any covid test “said the student’s mother.
When the group of “guardians” caused tension outside the school, strong police forces were called. One of the “custodians” was taken to the Evosmos Police Department, as a conviction was pending against him.
The student’s mother and the team of custodians gathered outside the Evosmos Police Station. “We are not against the coronavirus but we are guardians of the constitution,” some of the citizens in military uniforms shouted at reporters.
