Teenage Engineering makes voice recorders for SEK 15,000

Teenage Engineering expands the Field product series with the TP-7 audio recorder, the new addition has been designed with a focus on mechanical controls and dictaphone functionality. In the company’s marketing great emphasis is placed on the mechanical controls that the TP-7 has been equipped with. The main number is the motorized wheel that spins when recording sound, the wheel also acts as a physical control device when recording.

To fast forward or rewind the recording, the wheel is rotated in the desired direction and if ongoing recording needs to be paused, the user can stop the rotation of the wheel. Furthermore, the TP-7 is equipped with an additional slider on the side to fast forward or rewind the audio file.

With only two devices it becomes possible to transfer speech to text.

When the TP-7 is connected via Bluetooth to the company’s application, it also supports automatic transcription. The device is equipped with 128 GB of internal storage, three combined inputs and outputs of 3.5 millimeters for sound, as well as a built-in microphone and speaker.

The Teenage Engineering TP-7 will be available sometime during the summer for SEK 14,990. Unfortunately, the company does not appear to offer any package pricing together with the Field Desk.
