Sweden will contribute an additional one billion Swedish kroner to Ukraine.

This is what Sweden’s Prime Minister, Magdalena Andersson, says on Monday during a visit by the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, in Stockholm.

The amount corresponds to approximately DKK 700 million.

Half of the amount must go to the Ukrainian defense, while the other half must go to civil work – including reconstruction.

Magdalena Andersson also reiterated Sweden’s support for Ukraine on Monday.

“Borders must never be moved by violence or war.”

“I condemn the loss of countless and innocent lives and the destruction of your beautiful country,” says the Swedish Prime Minister at a press conference.
