Suzuki Opens Surabaya Depot, Guarantees Safe Spare Parts in Eastern Indonesia

DAPURPACU – PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) officially operates the newest spare parts depot in Surabaya, to meet the needs of Suzuki’s original components in eastern Indonesia.

The opening of the depot is in response to the high demand for official Suzuki spare parts in the region (East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua), including the Kalimantan area which is claimed to continue to rise.

Christiana Yuwantie, Spare Parts Dept. The Head of PT SIS explained that in 2021, the Eastern Indonesia and Kalimantan regions contributed 26.4% to Suzuki’s total sales of spare parts.

Based on these conditions, Christiana continued, encouraging Suzuki to build a depot in Surabaya in order to meet the needs of spare parts in the region and ensure the availability of goods.

“Besides the warehouse in Bekasi, we also have a depot in Surabaya that provides spare parts for cars, motorcycles and outboard engines,” he said in an official broadcast.

Various spare parts, both fast and slow moving types, are available in full at the Surabaya Depot, and it is hoped that with the opening of the depot, the delivery of spare parts to dealers will be much faster.

Previously, deliveries from Bekasi to dealers in eastern Indonesia could take 21 days, then the Surabaya depot can cut the delivery duration to under 14 days.

This keeps the stock of spare parts at the dealership maintained which in the end the consumer’s need for spare parts is guaranteed. Currently, Depo Surabaya supports the need for spare parts for 47 dealers in Eastern Indonesia and Kalimantan.

This is expected to improve the quality of service, so that consumers in the area and buy directly from the dealer or through the MySuzuki application, do not have to worry about the availability of spare parts.

“We will ensure that the needs of consumer spare parts are met at the same price throughout Indonesia,” closed Christiana. [dp/MTH]
