Sustainability and smart homes. The largest decoration fair in the country takes place in Lisbon – Artes

The largest decoration fair in the country is installed at FIL, in Lisbon, to show the best that the sector has to offer, from furniture to textiles. This year, the 45th edition of the Intercasa – Living & Design has as its theme the sustainability, a domain that increasingly becomes impossible to “put it off until tomorrow”. Determined to guarantee a future of quality for future generations, the event seeks to approach a more responsible lifestyle and, thus, a new audience.

The sustainability of a house is not only reflected in the set of energy efficient standards or in the type of energy source that is used, but also in the way the furniture is designed and built, which materials are chosen and the amount of “garbage” that is produced in the process. Over four days, visitors will discover that it is possible to create sustainable and modern environments, focusing on three essential themes – circular economy, energy efficiency and technology.

Two major novelties are added to this: the LxDesign, which will be an area dedicated to Product Design in the Home segment, where we can get to know the national market better, with emphasis on product designers, Interior Architecture Offices, Creative Agents and Start-ups; and the IDEAL HOUSE 2022, a project that, as the name implies, recreates a full-size house. It is a premium area where we can find renowned interior designers and architects who will help visitors create the home they have always dreamed of.

Finally, and for those who want to renovate or fill the house, we can count on the presentation of the latest trends in the sector of indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting, decorative complements and textiles.

Where? Lisbon International Fair. When? From October 6 to 9, from 2 pm to 10 pm (except Sunday, which closes at 8 pm). Tickets: €8 (single), €14 (pack of 2) or €20 (pack of 3). available here.
