“Supernatural” actress Nicki Aycox has died at just 47

The actress died at just 47 years old, according to reports CNN. Aycox played the demon Meg Masters in the first and fourth seasons of “Supernatural.” Her last appearance in the series was in an episode in season 5.

Aycox’s sister-in-law, Susan Raab Ceklosky, revealed the news on Facebook on November 17.

“My beautiful, smart, fearless and incredibly talented sister-in-law Nicki Aycox Raab passed away yesterday with my brother Matt Raab by her side. Nicki and Matt had a wonderful life in California. She was definitely a fighter and loved by all who knew her.”the actress’ sister-in-law wrote on November 17.

“Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke tweeted: “Shocked to hear the wonderful #NickiAycox, our first #MegMasters, has passed away. Too young. She was a pleasure to be around and gave lines like honey and venom. I marvel at the fact that he coined a word like the legendary ‘lackluster’.”

The cause of death was not disclosed, but Aycox revealed in 2021 that she had been diagnosed with leukemia.

Over time she gave several updates on her health, and in March 2022 she said she had started chemotherapy again.

“Hi everyone! Sorry for the time I’ve been gone. I can’t believe what’s happened in the last 3 months but it all makes sense now. I got really sick and thought I had covid in January, February . I ended up in the hospital, diagnosed with leukemia.”the actress said.

“I want everyone to know that I’m doing incredibly well and fighting through chemo,” she wrote at the time.
