The Ministry of Trade and Tourism of the Republic of Srpska announced that at the meeting it was pointed out that inflationary trends are still pronounced when it comes to product prices in the Republic of Srpska, and that they discussed possible future activities that would be carried out with the application of existing regulations that limit margins on basic foodstuffs and liquid petroleum fuels.
The topic of the meeting was the socially responsible operation of retail chains in the Republic of Srpska, as one of the modalities for mitigating inflationary trends.
According to the announcement, Šulić presented a proposal on the possibility of conducting a campaign centered on socially responsible business in the sense of marketing certain products at lower prices in retail stores in the Republic of Srpska.
A similar campaign called “Stop Inflation” is being implemented in Montenegro, what is it about? CAPITAL first wrote in the text: Šulić about Dodik, instead of rewriting the Montenegrin recipe for inflation.
On that occasion, Šulić did not have any concrete plans to curb inflation in retail, but it seems that the situation has changed in the meantime and that the Government of the RS will take over the so-called “Montenegrin recipe”.
We would like to remind you that the Government of Montenegro has reached an agreement with retailers to choose for themselves which 25 products the margin will be minimal for. This action was met with such a good response that traders reduced the margins to 30-40 products.
“That created competition, so others came forward as well. After that, pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies started to come forward, and telecommunications companies, and we will not end there, we will continue to expand this campaign.” said earlier for CAPITAL the Minister of Economic Development and Tourism of Montenegro, Goran Đurović, added that the action “Stop Inflation” gave full results. doe/CAPITAL
