In addition, 33 educational workshops for children were held, murals were painted in Belgrade and Čačak, and conferences were organized on the topic of forestry, which brought together experts and decision-makers from the state, non-governmental and private sectors.

“Plant a tree” is a unique venture for a healthier environment launched by the companies dm drogerie markt and Adria Media Group with the support of institutional partners, and was realized with the great help of associates, employees, public figures and numerous citizens across the country. Its importance is increasing year by year, and new ambitious plans have been announced for the next season.

In addition to planting, we also greened 17 cities across Serbia, and this phase was also marked by numerous activities, primarily for the youngest. In this season, education was conducted in 5 kindergartens, and the children had the opportunity to plant lavender, immortelle and rosemary, made hotels for insects and listened to education about bees. In addition, all elementary schools in Serbia received two pine seedlings to plant in their yards, and the yard of the Medical School in Zemun was also greened. On the way to a greener planet, in this way we convey our values of social responsibility and environmental protection to the youngest members of the community,” said Svetlana Jovanović Mitić.

Ana Aleksić, a member of the board of Adria Media Group, expressed her satisfaction with the achieved results and announced the new goals of the project.

“Four years ago, when we started “Plant a tree”, we never dreamed that this project would grow into the most massive planting movement in Serbia. So far, we have planted 600,000 seedlings, and in addition, thanks to the media power of our company Adria Media Group and various educational activities within the project, we managed to raise public awareness of the importance of the environment and inspired others to initiate numerous similar actions. We are especially proud that we have awakened unity in people and, with the support of our employees, institutional partners, numerous volunteers and public figures, enabled everyone who wants to contribute to making our country greener and healthier to live in. We continue with the same enthusiasm and new goals, because this is our way of showing our responsibility towards the community in which we live and work,” said Ana Aleksić.
