This December 9 and 10, a local group Association of Technical Students of Europe, BEST Belgrade organizes an intensive programming competition AIBG Belgrade (Artificial Intelligence BattleGround Belgrade). For the fifth time in a row, they will gather in one place 16 student teams of 3-4 members each, who will compete in creating an intelligent player (bot) for a given video game. Each team will have available 20 sati, after which the bots will compete in a direct competition in two stages – group and final battle. The three highest ranked teams will win worthy prizes in the amount of 100,000, 50,000 and 25,000 dinars, while starting this year they will also placement in the Final Round of the competition (Zagreb 2023) where they will have the opportunity to test themselves against the most skilled programmers from the entire region.
The goal of this competition is to give students technical and technological i natural and mathematical faculties provide the opportunity to get one step closer to the professional world through work on an independent project, application and expansion of knowledge about artificial intelligence and programming, while simultaneously developing competitive, but also team spirit.
In addition to the central competitive event, AIBG also organizes additional educational contents – MeetUp and EDU workshops.
- MeetUp – intended information of all interested students about current topics and the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence in various fields (this year it is sports, e-commerce ecosystems and insurance). It will take place November at the Technological and Metallurgical Faculty of the University of Belgrade, while applications and more information can be found at https://aibg.best.rs/meetup/
- EDU workshops – a one-day program designed to introduce competitors to methods used in the field of Artificial Intelligence, which can be useful to them both during the hackathon itself and in their further career.
