Borsa Istanbul 100 index rose by 0.57 percent to 1,634.26 points in the first half of the day.

Moving in an upward trend in the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index rose 9.20 points to 1.634.26 as of 13:00, compared to the previous close. The total transaction volume was 9.6 billion liras.

In the first half, the banking index gained 0.53 percent and the holding index gained 0.60 percent. Among the sector indices, forest, paper and printing had the highest gains with 1.20 percent, and textile and leather were the most regressed with 0.42 percent.

Today, according to the data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), calendar adjusted industrial production increased by 8.9 percent in September compared to the same month of the previous year, while seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.5 percent in September compared to August.

Analysts stated that the consumer confidence index to be announced in the USA will be followed in the afternoon, and stated that, technically, 1650 points are in the position of resistance for the BIST 100 index, while the level of 1.570 is in the support position.
