Statement about the talks from Özdağ!

Özdağ evaluated the agenda live on KRT and answered questions. Ümit Özdağ, upon a question regarding the meeting with the Presidential candidate of the Nation Alliance and CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, said that it was not right for him to share information about the content of the speech.

Expressing that the Victory Party has certain basic principles and a political plane put forward by the Ata Alliance, Özdağ stated that they have questions arising from this political approach, they asked almost all of these questions to Kılıçdaroğlu and Kılıçdaroğlu also gave answers.

Noting that they made a general assessment of Turkish politics during the meeting, Özdağ said that they first met as delegations and then they made a long assessment alone with Kılıçdaroğlu.

Özdağ continued his words as follows:

“After all, I shared the findings he made with the vice presidents in the council today. I will share them with my friends in the General Administrative Board tomorrow. I will have meetings with some of our friends who are on the founding board of our party, apart from the General Administrative Board.

After leaving this program, we will meet with Sinan Bey. He also met with Erdogan in Istanbul to the best of my knowledge. We are in constant communication. We quickly share data with each other about developments, meetings and the results we have achieved. Mr. Sinan called me just before the meeting took place today. He said, ‘An invitation has arrived. I will also meet with him.’ ‘Sure,’ I said. After the meeting was over, we spoke to him on the phone. We will make a more comprehensive assessment face-to-face in Ankara in the evening.”

“We don’t negotiate for positions”

“A bargain?” Özdağ said, “Is he bargaining, they used the expression as a psychological operation against us, by cutting off his head and cutting off the end. I think it is not fair at all.” said.

Expressing that the components of the Nation Alliance have been negotiating “This ministry will be yours, this ministry will be yours” for months, Özdağ made the following assessments:

“Those who say nothing to this are criticizing our bargain. What are we bargaining for? ‘What did you give to HDP, what did you give to HUDA PAR?’ We ask the parties about this. We do not accept these, if there is something you give. If you did not give it, we said ‘OK’.

The first four articles of the constitution do not change for us. We accept that Article 66 of the Constitution will not change. FETO, the PKK will be fought and asylum seekers will be sent to their homeland, it is indispensable for us, Turkey’s biggest security threat. In fact, we argue that all citizens and politicians should defend the foundations of the Constitution.

We’re negotiating it. We do not negotiate for positions. ‘Give us this general directorate, give us that ministry.’ No. We have put forward our principles and we have been realizing our policy from the very beginning within the framework of these principles. ‘Do we take responsibility?’ Yes, we take responsibility. We take responsibility, especially in matters that we know very well and think they cannot do better than us, and we are ready for that.”

Responding to the question of what they would say to the voters if they could not reach a partnership with both parties, Özdağ said, “Then we will not support both. We will tell our voters why we do not support them.” gave the answer.

Expressing that his meetings with Kılıçdaroğlu were productive on a question, Özdağ said, “We are also evaluating the results of this meeting at the authorized committees of our parties. We will make other evaluations within the framework of the meeting held by Sinan Bey. We will fight to do the best we can for Turkey. ” he said.
