Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will see its remake

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic in its remake will be exclusively for the PlayStation 5, which sounds at least like sacrilege, but before the PC Master Race pulls the pitchfork all over Japan, it should be added that this exclusivity only applies to the console world. So only the owners of the Xbox will wait for some time (up to a year), which is better than the introduction of the original game from 2003, which came to the Xbox in July and we waited for the PC version until late autumn. Now the Xbox is returning this “hardship” with interest.

The original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was caused by Bioware, who was still a beloved studio at the time, while today the mention that a remake of KOTOR is being prepared again by Bioware would be more of a doubt.

In fact, the Aspyr studio is working on the game, which recently came up with a remaster of the Star Wars: Republic Commandos title and hired selected people for their new project who had previously worked on the original game, while also processing the iOS port of the original KOTOR. It’s hard to say what we should promise from it and we won’t be better off even after watching the accompanying teaser.

From the game marked as a remake, however, we would expect ideally more or less the same game in a much more modern jacket, and this is exactly what is promised to us. So again, it should be an RPG strongly based on a story, in which we should fly through space in our ship Ebon Hawk and mow down enemies with the help of our carefully piped comrades of various classes with the help of various equipment, etc.

Unfortunately, the approximate date of launch of this game is not known yet, which usually means that we will wait a very long time.
