Spotify brings the “town festivals” with a verbena playlist

As the town parties are not yet celebrated, Spotify wanted to bring them home with a playlist with 100 songs.

Summer is synonymous with village festivals. However, 2021 is not yet the year in which the typical traditions of the towns will be recovered, like the holidays, given the health crisis. As there is still this uncertainty in terms of popular celebrations, Spotify has decided to do something about it.

For this reason, it has taken a step forward so that all users, from the safety of their homes, can enjoy those festivals that we all have in our memory. He has done it the way the platform knows how: through music. That goal has led the company to create the playlist ‘Fiesta de pueblo’.

Those in charge of selecting the 100 songs that make up the list they are those who have been choosing for years what songs sound in the squares of all the towns: the orchestras. In this campaign, developed by the agency Circus Media Monks, members of the Panorama Orchestra, from The Dominican Combo, from Buddha Orchestra Show, from Sin Orchestra, from Top Lider and of Orquesta Zodiac.

All these people have agreed to create a playlist capable of representing the festivals of all the towns in Spain. Thus, in the broadcast video we can see how members of these orchestral groups debate about which themes should be on the list of songs.

Of course, in some “town festivals” the town criers cannot be absent. In this case, the chosen ones have been Omar Montes, Martita de Graná, Edu Soto and Xurxo Carreño. They have been the lucky ones who have given the opening speech of these particular town festivals through social networks.
