The investment in marketing in Spain during this year will still be far from the pre-covid-19 values. In 2020, investment fell 21.4 percent to 26.416 million euros. In 2019, before the pandemic, this figure was 33,627 million euros.
Investment in marketing in 2021 should reach 28,016 million euros, which represents an increase of 6.1 percent compared to 2020. Even so, this year the investment should be at the level of 2014.
The data are from the 11th AMES study (Analysis of Investment in Marketing in Spain), which quantifies the economic impact of marketing in the neighboring country. The study accounts for advertising investment, in communication, promotions, personnel costs, relationship between brands and customers, studies and consultancy.
