In order to increase energy efficiency, the use of renewable energy sources, as well as the creation of new jobs, a training model for solar panel installers was presented. As announced, the training will be organized by the end of the year.

The labor market lacks fitters for solar panels, says provincial secretary for economy and tourism Nenad Ivanišević, adding that, when it comes to new and specific professions, Vojvodina is keeping up with the times with the aim of preserving the environment and increasing the share of renewable energy sources such as is solar, by installing as many solar panels as possible on the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, and for that we need the missing personnel.

It is necessary to keep up with measures to save electricity at the world level, primarily because of the energy crisis, explains the acting director of the Educational Center, Aleksandar Ašonja. Therefore, one of the 60 free trainings organized by that institution is the training for solar panel installers.

It is, he explains, about training for further qualification and requalification:
– The education of people in the field of renewable energy sources is an opportunity to open new companies that will deal primarily with the sale of these systems, and later also with assembly, i.e. installation services. Local self-government units can be the connection of their unemployed persons with the educational center.

On this occasion, within the framework of the “Better Energy” project, which focuses on the green economy, the cooperation of the Provincial Government with the Educational Center and the United States Agency for International Development was agreed upon. The head of that project in our country, Danijel Berg, says that the idea of that five-year project is to improve energy efficiency in Serbia with a focus on local heating plants and buildings of shared housing and development companies that will provide information to citizens on how they can get involved.

In addition to increasing the use of renewable energy sources, the project will provide money for the proper use of these resources at the municipal level and in cooperation with local and public partners.
