Smartphones with a keyboard will return? PLN 3 million has already been collected for a prototype

It might seem that they are the future folding smartphones or similar innovative solutions. However, it seems people liked phones with a traditional, physical keyboard as well. Titan Pocket from Unihertz is a project of just such a smartphone and is to offer a full QWERTY keyboard.

A few years ago, for example, the company had similar ideas BlackBerry, but as we know & hairsp; – & hairsp; such smartphones did not survive on the market. Would it be different now? It is not known whether due to nostalgia or actual need, the fundraiser for Titan Pocket on Kickstarter ores turned out to be a huge success.

The originators have already collected over HK $ 6 million, i.e. over PLN 3 million. Telephones are to be delivered to supporters after the holidays. The smartphone was priced at about PLN 1,200, which may be a prohibitive amount if we are talking about a phone that does not use the latest technological solutions.

However, you cannot complain about the components. Unihertz reported that smartphones will be equipped with a screen with a diagonal of 3.1 inches, which will display the image with a resolution of 716 x 720 px. The phone is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P70 processor, 6 GB of DDR4 RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. In addition, the smartphone has a camera with a 16 MP matrix.

Admittedly, the success of the Kickstarter campaign may surprise you. However, we should not expect a revolution on the smartphone market and a return to phones with keyboards. It is certain, however, that producers (and consumers) will surprise us more than once.
