Nyon (Switzerland) – Football Slavia will play the next home match in European competitions in front of a partially closed auditorium due to fan behavior in the domestic rematch quarterfinals of the European Conference League with Feyenoord Rotterdam. The UEFA Disciplinary Committee also fined the Prague team 15,000 euros (almost 369,000 crowns).
The Vršovice club must close the northern grandstand, where the Slavic “boiler” is located, ie at least 3,000 seats. It was from there that, in retaliation with the Dutch team, which took place on April 14, the spectators used pyrotechnics, threw objects on the playing field and blocked the passages. Slavia was fined for closed escape routes.
Slavia lost to Feyenoord 1: 3 in the Eden and finished in a 3: 3 draw on his pitch in the European Conference League. The team from Rotterdam dealt with Olympique Marseille in the semifinals and in the premiere final of the competition on May 25 will be challenged by AS Roma.
Already in March, the UEFA disciplinary commission similarly punished another Prague team, Sparta, for the racist banner of its fans in the February revenge of the European Conference League at the Partizan Belgrade field. The closure of part of the stadium in Letná must concern at least five thousand seats. On top of Sparta, it received a fine of 3,250 euros (80,000 crowns).
