Hydration to wrinkles
As with women, the skin is different for each male. It depends on the environment in which the individual moves and is also affected by genetic equipment. However, some studies show that skin may vary within gender. Men’s skin is prone to oiliness and tends to produce higher amounts of sebum and oil. In everyday skin care, men should pay particular attention to the use of cleansing products and quality tonics. For example, citrus tonics or gels with tea tree oil, which cleanses the skin healthy, are ideal for men. No gentlemen, soapy water really isn’t enough!
Although men’s skin is more oily, it is still not desirable to leave it completely dry, because the skin is all the more prone to wrinkles. A light moisturizing mask or ointment for everyday use should not be too hydrating, but it should still have an emollient effect. Gentlemen should use this product especially in the evening so that the product can be absorbed deeply.
What is very important is the skin care in the beard and mustache area. In this, men’s skin is really different from women’s. Men are very prone to irritation in this area, which tends to be very uncomfortable. The key to success is pre-shave and after-shave care. The area should be well hydrated before shaving. The beard should even be dampened to make it softer and more flexible. You should use the medicine you are used to. However, gels are currently used rather than foam, which are ideal to leave on for a few minutes to avoid redness or irritation.
You should maintain skin hydration even after shaving. Therefore, it is not desirable to use, for example, aftershave preparations with alcohol or externally perfumed preparations, which in turn dry and irritate sensitive skin. Although these products have been widely used in the past, they have disinfectant effects. Nowadays, however, it is no longer so desirable, because shaving tools are gaining much higher quality. On the contrary, the products should ideally contain vitamins E and C, which have a beneficial effect on every skin.
Last but not least, men’s skin ages more slowly, but rather than age, it responds to damage caused by sunlight. This creates brown spots on the skin, which then gradually sag and create apparent wrinkles. Therefore, care is important especially in the summer, when gentlemen should use daily skin products with a UV filter and sunscreens with a minimum factor of 30.
