Suara.com – BRI is expanding its role in efforts to develop micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This expansion was carried out by BRI after officially signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding Synergy of Business Licensing Services for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with the Ministry of Investment / the Investment Coordinating Board.
This collaboration between BRI and the Ministry of Investment / BKPM was legalized on Friday (7/5/2021), in Jakarta. The memorandum of understanding was signed directly by the Director of Institutional Relations and BUMN BRI, Agus Noorsanto and the Deputy for Investment Cooperation of BKPM Riyatno
Through the signing of this MoU, BRI and the Ministry of Investment / BKPM officially have a foundation to work together to serve business licensing and meet the needs of financial products / services for MSME players. This collaboration allows the creation of synergy between the data of MSME players in the Online Single Submission (OSS) application with various applications, channels, and services owned by BRI.
OSS is a web-based application that functions to assist the process of filing complaints and business licensing. Through this application, entrepreneurs can quickly take care of making files related to business licenses such as Business Identification Number (NIB), Company Registration Number (TDP), Import Identification Number (API), Customs Access, as well as commercial and operational permits.

“This collaboration is one of the manifestations of our efforts to facilitate MSME players’ access to various banking services and financial products. MSMEs do not need to worry anymore, because later after being officially registered and having an NIB issued by OSS, they can immediately take care of loan applications, opening accounts, and enjoying other services from BRI without the hassle, “said Agus.
Through this synergy, BRI and the Ministry of Investment / BKPM will support each other in disseminating information on business licensing for MSMEs. Then, collaboration will also be carried out in facilitating business licensing, solving business barriers, promoting banking services, and using business licensing data in accordance with applicable regulations.
This collaboration allows MSME players not to have to carry permit documents such as SIUP, TDP, and others to apply for loans at BRI. An efficient process gives MSME players a greater chance of getting assistance for business development and obtaining more certain legal protection for the sustainability of their business.
In addition, MSME actors can also more easily manage the making of NIBs with this agreement between BRI and the Ministry of Investment / BKPM. NIB is an important document and must be owned by MSME actors, so that they can easily get access to finance, legal protection, and assistance for business development.
Apart from collaborating with the Ministry of Investment / BKPM, BRI has carried out various empowerment steps and provided affordable financial access for MSME players. These services are provided by BRI by relying on more than 454 thousand BRILink agents, 9 thousand outlets throughout Indonesia, and the BRISpot application which is owned by more than 28 thousand marketers, as well as the company’s latest platform called LinkUMKM.
