With its fast grid-free CFD capabilities, it will help accelerate the analysis of complex transient applications in the automotive, aerospace and marine industries, such as gear lubrication, fluid movement inside tanks, or spray cooling for electric motors.
The addition of Nextflow Software’s Smooth-Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) to Simcenter’s portfolio will allow analysts to take advantage of the complementary nature of networkless and networked solvers and leverage each of their strengths, opening the door to new applications that were previously difficult to focus on.
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Nantes, France, Nextflow Software is a startup company focused on the development of innovative SPH networkless CFD methods. It plays a vital role in the transition of SPH from academic laboratories into the hands of analysts across industries, helping to simulate complex transitions in the product development cycle faster and sooner.
