Sharkoon’s Shark Disc fan needs to combine bling with low noise

Sharkoon has released the Shark Disc, a 120mm fan with nine argb LEDs. Thanks to the transparent housing, the colored lighting is more visible, at the same time the sound production must remain on the low side. The maximum speed is 1,000 rpm.

For example, the manufacturer claims a sound pressure of 17.5 dBA at this speed, although the fan cannot exactly be called a powerhouse. At 1,000 rpm, it should be able to move 34.73 cfm of air followed by a static pressure of 0.93 mm H2O. Furthermore, the fan is equipped with rubber pads, which should prevent vibrations.

Thanks to the use of a fluid-dynamic bearing Sharkoon claims a lifespan of at least 50,000 operating hours. It will receive a suggested retail price of EUR 9.90 and should be available immediately, although it cannot yet be found in the product comparator at the time of writing.
