Several artists meet in a spectacular penthouse in front of El Retiro

The art gallery Bulwark –located in the Salamanca district of Madrid– and Sofia Urbinafounder of Art Advisory Services and professor of “Contemporary Art and its Market” at IE University, have teamed up to organize the exhibition art and concert in it penthouse of a luxurious building Alberto Bosh Oncea recently renovated luxurious space very close to the Prado Museum and the Casón del Buen Retiro.

There, in this space still uninhabited, although it will be, the art expert – who has been working in the sector since 1998 – together with the gallery has brought together emerging and established artists from Europe, Africa, North America and Latin America.

Urbina explains that all the artists present “are very different, but they all have a common denominatorand it is the appreciation for the identity and for its origins. They invite us to reflectto immerse ourselves in the analysis of how we are as individuals within society ».

He also shows great enthusiasm for this project in this Madrid building near the Retiro, rehabilitated by the real estate developer Alzaria, and details that Ana Gonzálezthe businesswoman behind this company, has also played a very important role in an artistic project in which she wants to emphasize the importance of having art in our rooms and therefore in our lives.

«When you move into a house, the first thing you put for decoration are the furniture and then later, you put the art in, right? With this exhibition of artists we want to turn this around, start putting art on our walls and in the space as a first option, start with works, since art fills our lives in many ways. That’s why, this floor is empty and only has art», concludes Urbina.

It should also be noted that the situation of this building Alberto Bosh Once It could not be more regal, since it sits on land that once belonged to the Royal Site of Buen Retiro (in the solemn garden setting designed by Felipe II in the 16th century), which were sold to the State by the queen Isabel IIin the middle of the 19th century.
