Serial BMW XM on patent renderings

BMW presented the XM Concept on November 30 last year, but it was already known then that it was announcing a future series model that will arrive in 2022, and that as the first stand-alone M SUV model.

The Bavarians also say that the XM is the most expressive statement in 50 years of BMW M. The statement adds that this is “a unique X for the M brand, which shows the new front design of the BMW luxury class.”

Meanwhile, these patent renders of the production model that should appear in late October or early November have leaked.

The standard version of the series BMW XM will have a combined 480 kW/653 HP and 800 Nm (combination of the new V8 turbo gasoline engine and electric motor), but a stronger version with 748 HP and 1000 Nm of torque is also announced. It will also be possible to drive in electric mode, up to 80 km (according to WLTP).

There will of course be four-wheel drive, standard Adaptive M Professional suspension, M brake system, lightweight M alloy wheels up to 23 inches, more striking front “kidneys”, as well as an M interpretation of the cockpit directed towards the driver, a curved screen of the infotainment system, M version of the BMW iDrive operating system, red accents on the steering wheel, brown leather, carbon fiber and ambient lighting in BMW M colors as well.
