Sergei Lavrov thanked the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, at the meeting.

– I conveyed the warmest greetings of President Putin to President Vučić. We have considered possible contacts at the level of the president in the future, and we will burn out when that meeting will be held – Lavrov said.

Lavrov says that the trade cooperation between the two countries increased by 16%, despite the corona virus.

He reminded that the “Sputnik V” vaccine is also produced in Serbia.

– Russia advocates that the solution to the issue of Kosovo and Metohija can be based only on Resolution 1244, the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. This must be confirmed by the UN Security Council. We will accept any solution that suits Serbia and the Serbian people – said Sergey Lavrov.

He also reminded of the support for Serbia due to the situation in Jarinje and said that it was time for Pristina to form the JCC.

– It is not up to the EU to give in to the fact that Albanians are not fulfilling their obligations – Lavrov said and called on Brussels to take responsibility for the problems caused by the Albanian side in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
