Sokonindo does not deny that this tiny car is planned to be launched in Indonesia soon. This was also agreed by the Marketing Head of PT Sokonindo Automobile, Ahmad Rofiqi.
According to him, the 100% fully electric car has been prepared as the first environmentally friendly passenger vehicle which will soon enter the production line at the DFSK factory in Cikande, Serang, Banten.
This, continued Rofiqi, was carried out for the localization process of spare parts that would be installed on the Seres E1. Rofiqi hopes that the level (TKDN) can reach 40 percent.
“We are focused on using local components to the fullest in the manufacturing factory facility in Cikande, so that our end customers can enjoy incentives from the government,” he added.
Seres E1 is believed to be the main rival of the small electric car by Wuling which is quite popular and best-selling in Indonesia today, namely the Air ev.
Currently, the special display unit still carries the left steering wheel. Sokonindo has also announced its plans to produce Seres E1 in the middle of this year.
“We plan to produce it (Seres E1) in the middle of this year. Hopefully in the next two or three months it will be launched,” said Rofiqi.
For information, Seres is a company that focuses on renewable energy vehicles by promoting smart technology.
The business being run is in the new energy vehicle corridor with a battery core, electric motor, and controller along with R&D, manufacturing, sales, to after-sales service.
