Seo Jeong-hee “I couldn’t even go near Seo Se-won’s mortuary… Respect for remarried women and daughters”｜The Dong-A Ilbo

Broadcaster Seo Jeong-hee conveyed her feelings about letting go of her ex-husband, the late Seo Se-won, who passed away in Cambodia.

In a recent interview with Star News, Seo Jeong-hee revealed her thoughts on the late Mr. Seo, saying, “I wondered if I wouldn’t have died if I was by her side, and I felt compassion.”

Seo Jung-hee asked back, “Even though we are strangers, I was a husband who lived together for 32 years and a father of children, wouldn’t it be?” I feel like this is my share,” she said.

Seo Jeong-hee, who prayed for Seo Se-won without missing a day, said, “I used to have regrets, but now I am praying for his wife and children. I support them to live harder and help those in need.”

Seo Jeong-hee also complained of damage caused by fake news. An unfounded rumor spread that Seo Jeong-hee and his son Seo Jong-woo visited Seo Se-won’s funeral.

“That was the most upsetting part,” he said. I thought how could this be? In fact, I couldn’t even go near the mortuary,” he said. “Now that I’m a stranger, I can’t go even if I want to.

He continued, “I have a daughter with a remarried woman, so I have to be polite.” Neither my son nor my daughter-in-law have ever been there.”

Seo Jeong-hee expressed her gratitude to her daughter Seo Dong-ju. He said, “Dong-joo stayed by her father’s side until the end of her life as her resident. She tried so hard,” he said, “so reassuring. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for doing my job,” she repeated.

He said, “Now, let Seo Se-won go well, and the rest of the family (remarried woman and daughter) have to live well. what can i do now it’s gone from my mind However, it would have been nice if the relationship with the children had been restored, but it is regrettable that it did not.”

Previously, Seo Se-won died suddenly in Cambodia in April. He is 67 years old. The cause of death, announced by Cambodian police, was cardiac arrest caused by diabetes. However, it was known that the hospital had not officially opened and there were no doctors, and questions arose over the circumstances of his death.

Meanwhile, Seo Jeong-hee married Seo Se-won in 1982 and had a daughter Seo Dong-ju and a son Seo Jong-woo (formerly known as Seo Dong-cheon). The two were known as a lovebird couple in the entertainment world, but they divorced in 2015.

In 2014, a video of Seo Se-won assaulting Seo Jeong-hee was released and criticism poured out, and the two divorced afterwards. A year later, in 2016, Seo Se-won remarried a 23-year-old haegeum player and had a daughter.
