Registration for the covid-19 vaccination for citizens over the age of 80 will begin on Friday, January 15 at 8:00. This was stated by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (YES) at a press conference of the Ministry of Health on Thursday. They can apply via the web crs.uzis.cz or registration.mzcr.cz and the telephone line 1221. According to the Minister of Health Jan Blatný (for YES), health professionals should continue to report through medical facilities, registration for them will begin on 18 January or no later than 22 January.
“The reason is that someone did not try to cheat. During the weekend, the system will be linked to the database of health professionals in the Czech Republic,” the minister said about later registration for health care professions. For example, general practitioners and pharmacies can also help seniors sign up.
When entering the form, the person interested in vaccination first enters a telephone number on the website, to which he / she will receive a PIN code for confirmation, which is a security measure against unauthorized login by robotic computer programs. The applicant will then enter his name, permanent residence, birth number and the number and name of his health insurance company, he will also choose the preferred place where he wants to get vaccinated.
“Registration and booking do not necessarily take place on the same date. It will certainly not happen that not all people who register on the first day will be given a deadline, because there are a limited number of vaccines,” Blatný said. When the vaccination center lists the first available dates, the registered applicant will be able to book them. The registration system will notify him of this in an SMS and he will receive another code to confirm his reservation. The system will create the date of the second dose automatically, it will be possible to adjust it.
Vaccination at different centers may be started at different times depending on their capacity or vaccine supply. There are currently 31, mostly at large hospitals. Gradually, large-capacity centers will also be established, for example in cultural centers, sports halls or other places with the possibility of parking a larger number of people.
The preparation of the reservation system was criticized by the regional governors. For example, according to the chairman of the Association of Regions of the Czech Republic, it was not possible to try in advance the onslaught that may arise after starting the application. Most were given access to the system on Monday, but they could only try a fictitious vaccination registration or data management that would be modified directly by their vaccination centers.
By Wednesday evening, almost 71,000 vaccinated people had reported centers in the Czech Republic. Newly, the centers must report everyone to the system on the day they were vaccinated. So far, 196,000 doses of vaccine have been delivered from Pfizer and BioNTech and 8,400 from Moderna.
