Seminar organized by Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Center in DU

A seminar titled ‘Empowering Future: Youth as the Architect of Smart Bangladesh’ was held at the Student-Teacher Center auditorium on Wednesday under the initiative of Dhaka University Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Center for Gender and Development Studies.

Dhaka University Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal presided over the seminar as Deputy Minister of Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury MP as the chief guest and Dhaka University Social Science Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Zia Rahman spoke as a special guest.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal emphasized on the maximum utilization of technology in the era of globalization and said that youth is the tool of social change. Through proper utilization of time and opportunities, youth should acquire skills in technology and become self-reliant people. He called upon the young society to take the lead in building a smart Bangladesh.

Education Deputy Minister Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury MP emphasized on ensuring the participation of women in economic activities with the aim of building a smart Bangladesh and said that a safe work environment should be created for women and they should be made confident. Young society should be aware that reactionary groups may not create obstacles in the economic empowerment of women.

Asaduzzaman Noor MP urged the young society to come forward in the work of building a modern and prosperous Bangladesh by using their own creativity.
