See where you are voting with… a few clicks!

THE 21^the May is approaching and certainly the party staffs are “on fire” fighting their own election battle. As known, right to vote have all the Greeks (or European) citizens who have completed the 17th year of their age (January 1st is considered the date of birth of all those born within the year) and are registered in electoral roll of the country’s municipality.

Although as usual the climate of polarization created by party mechanisms dynamits the climate, nevertheless the vote is a good opportunity for the citizen to express his opinion (where it… counts) in ballot box. Recently, the Ministry of Interior released the polling stations, in which Greek citizens can exercise their right to vote. In fact, for their convenience, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs created a special section at gov.grwhich enables voters to find their polling station and the school they are voting for easy and… simple!

All you need is to type gov.gr and then press either option “Learn Where You Vote” (or in search).

After selecting the “Log in to the Service”, then you should fill in the fields Surname, First Name, Father’s Name, Year of Birth, Mother’s Name (optional), or only the E.E.A. fields. and Surname if you know them.

By clicking on the search, the following information will appear: Special Electoral Number, Surname, First Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Census Number, Electoral Division Code, Municipal Unit, Municipality, Regional Unit, Region, State and Electoral Department.
