The Seat Ibiza, the flagship car of the Iberian car manufacturer, is completely renewed in equipment and design while remaining faithful to its origins, which in over 35 years – from 1984 to today – has achieved the sale of over six million units. The new car will be available in the European market from August.
From the external point of view, the new Seat Ibiza continues to be admired and purchased precisely for its design, since this model essentially maintains the dimensions of the traditional product: wheels at the extremes that give the car stability and a sporty character and narrow leaps with a longer wheelbase.
The dynamic qualities of the vehicle are underlined by the presence of fully LED headlights, while on the rear the “Ibiza” brand stands out, making the car immediately identifiable at first glance. The wheels also go from 15 to 18 inches with the introduction of new chrome.
The new Seat Ibiza will have a list price starting from 13,900 euros and will be available with the bifuel petrol and methane engine (from 80 to 150 hp) in 4 different configurations in order to satisfy every customer need: Business, FR, Reference and Style.
Coming to the interior, in the middle of the cockpit the designers have inserted the new infotainment system with suspended screen as standard and 20% larger which measures 8.25 inches. Upon request, customers will be able to improve their experience with the satellite navigator or the Seat Virtual Cockpit of 9.2 or 10.25 inches making the car fully digital according to the principles of the Spanish industry.
As for the engines, the new Seat Ibiza has several types: the entry level 1.0 MPI with three cylinders and 80 HP (59 kW); 1.0 TSI three-cylinder which produces an output of 95 hp (70 kW) and is sold with a 5-speed manual gearbox. For those wishing to opt for the 6 gears, the power increases to 110 hp (81 kW). Seat also offers the 1.5 TSI four-cylinder engine that develops 150 HP (110 kW) in addition to the automatic transmission with the DSG dual-clutch system that allows active management of the cylinders and contributing to the optimization of efficiency and the reduction of fuel consumption. Finally, among the three-cylinder 1.0 TGI range, Ibizia is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox, with an output of 90 HP (66 kW). They don’t know each other yet the list prices of the variants, but if we take the English market as a reference, we can consider an average of about € 16,900 to € 21,000 for the most complete models.
